Tuition fees paid by the students at the time of admission to the Institute will be refunded in the following circumstances to the extent indicated below, subject to the condition that a written application for the refund of fees is submitted by the student concerned to the Head of the Institution :

  1. Fifty per cent of the first instalment of the term's fees actually paid will be refunded if a student leaves the institute within a fortnight of his joining the institute.
  2. The whole of the first instalment of fees will be forfeited to Government if a student leaves the institute after the above period.
  3. The whole amount of tuition fees actually paid will be refunded to a student who -
  4. i) has been admitted provisionally but whose admission is subsequently cancelled.

    ii) leaves the Institute to join a Degree/Diploma Course in Engineering, Science Techology or a similar professional course of study provided that-

    A. at the time of applying for admission the student intimates in writing that he intends to apply or has actually applied for admission to one or more professional course of study; and

    B. makes a written application for refund of fees to the Head of the Institute within a fortnight from the date of his admission to the professional course of study. The application in such cases should be accompanied by a

Govt. Of India Post-Matric Scholarships to the B.C. Students . The scheme of grant of Govt. Of India Scholarships to the Backward Classes student ( S.Cs/S.Ts/N.Ts out side specified area in vidarbha ) for post -S.S.C. Is implemented by the Director of Social Welfare, Maharashtra State, Poona. The Backward Class students undertaking approved post S.S.C. Course are considered eligible for the Govt. Of India Scholarships according to the revised rules.

Merit Scholarship

For merit Scholarship and Free studentship have been sanctioned by the Govt. For the various Departments. The ratio of the Scholarship will be 6 per cent and Free studentship 10 per cent of the students in each class.

Award for Merit

Amount of Rs. 500 Rs. 300 and Rs. 200 will be awarded in each Department of 1.Drawing and Painting 2. Applied Art and 3. Teacher's Training to the students Whose work are adjudged best at the annual Exhibition.

ABOUT US:

Even before the independence, the state of Maharashtra has always been the leader in Education, Art and Science. For the development of the common man, new education system was adopted. Along with Religious andSocial, Maharashtra also actively participated in the agitation of Fine Art. After the independence the education in Maharashtra got new direction.

Several Educational Institutions were established. Besides technical and professional Institutions, Fine Art Institutions were also established.

In 1967, Fine Art Department was started in Government Polytechnic, Nagpur. Out of four Govt. Institutes, Govt. Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya in Nagpur is the only Art Institution of eastern Maharashtra.

Established in the year of independence, the Art Department was transformed into Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya. Under the guidance of Late Shri. Joshirao the Art Department was created and the syllabus for three years diploma course in Fine Art was created with multi objectives. Nagpur University used to issue the diploma certificates.
